Complete series of paint tube sculptures next to the original objects

Ivory Black is a carbon-based all-round black colour with brown undertones, deep hue and lightfast properties. Its name stems from the traditional method for obtaining it: roasting elephant tusks.

For this work I wanted to elevate the materials I use in the studio to a fine art setting. By plaster casting replicas of each of my paint tubes, I affirm the act of making as an art work.
